House of BNG Hosts First Luxury Retreat to Celebrate New Mimosa Launch
A celebration set in the Cape Winelands
The inaugural Retreat at the House of BNG brought together luxury, lifestyle and celebration in the scenic Franschhoek Cape Winelands earlier this month.
Held at the elegant La Paris Estate on 7 March 2026, the brunch-style gathering marked the launch of the brand’s newest offering, the House of BNG Mimosa, a ready-to-drink sparkling beverage designed for easy, stylish celebrations.
The intimate event blended creativity, relaxation, and connection, reflecting the brand’s focus on experiential luxury.
Guests embrace the “Mimosa Muse” experience
Guests arrived dressed to match the event’s “Mimosa Muse” dress code, stepping into a curated day of activities designed to nourish the mind and body.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees participated in experiences including:
- Floral arrangement workshops
- Essential oil blending sessions
- Relaxing massage treatments
- A beading station where guests created personalised keychains
The event was co-hosted by TV presenter Kuhle Adams and marketing expert Thulane Hadebe, while roving reporter Neo Ndemande captured interviews with guests and shared highlights online.
Music also played a central role in the atmosphere, with DJs PinkyGirl and ShillyMingz curating a vibrant mix of house, amapiano, R&B and bubblegum sounds.
Bonang Matheba leads wine masterclass
A highlight of the retreat was a wine-tasting masterclass led by media personality and brand custodian, Bonang Matheba, alongside mixologist Prayer Moyo.
Guests were introduced to several offerings from the House of BNG portfolio, including its Méthode Cap Classique range. The brand’s Brut variant has earned strong industry recognition, including an 87/100 rating from WineMag.co.za and a 93-point score from wine authority Michael Fridjhon.
A brand built on celebration and storytelling
Since launching in 2019, the House of BNG has grown into one of South Africa’s most recognisable luxury sparkling wine brands.
Reflecting on the event, Matheba said the retreat was created to celebrate the people who support the brand.
“The House of BNG was inspired by my love for the process of wine-making, but it is the love of every single person who purchases our products that has made the House what it is today. The Retreat was our way of reflecting that love back to our people.”
The Mimosa takes centre stage
The newly launched House of BNG Mimosa is now available in a convenient four-pack of single-serve cans, retailing for R259 through Takealot.
